From someone who used to use Stanza, this app is a close replacement since Stanza has disappeared from the App Store. Everything about this app is familiar to me, and it has all the features and customization options that I appreciated in the Stanza app. Definitely give it a try.

This is such and easy to use and powerful app for getting your ebooks onto your device from the web, iTunes, email, or another device. Sorts and displays your books in many customizable ways. Cant recommend enough!

Thanks for the updates! A rock-solid app. Their sync model is simple and intuitive. Keep up the good work.

I love the new sync feature (v3.9)! I have two actively used iPads shared among my family members each with a different Apple account id and his or her own iPhone or iPod. I prefer its sync model over those of iBooks and Kindle for exactly those reasons highlighted in its Whats New section. ---------- Aug 22, 2013: This update (v3.4.2) is very very stable. Ive updated the app on all my new and old iOS devices ranging from those running iOS 4.3 to iOS 6.1.3. In fact, I have downloaded every single update since v3.1. Not a single book has ever been lost as a consequence of ShuBook update. I love it! This is much much better than some other similar apps track record. Moreover, I have some general advice to other users. The apps description has indeed warned that there is no guarantee that the books can be restored after an iOS system upgrade. (Some other apps that also let you download a huge number of books and files from third-party sources also have similar warnings.) However, when I do in-device upgrade rather than upgrade via iTunes, all my app updates are flawless and faster. Avoid doing your system update via iTunes!

There have been two updates after I wrote the review below and two column display has not been added. I am still hopeful. I still love this ebook app. However, I just bought a new iPad Air and prefer a two column display in landscape on the iPad. Other readers support this but Shubook does not. I am not abandoning Shubook because its other features are still heads above the others but I would be much happier if this change could be made. When this happens I will restore my five star rating.

Great reading app for the iPhone and iPad. Im constantly trying different apps but I always come back to this. Ignore the negative reviews from 2011. They dont apply anymore.

Was five stars until it no longer let me download title or author. Very disappointed.
